What are the differences between cleanroom garments, clean suits, and antistatic garments?

Cleanroom garments, also known as dustproof suits, cleanroom suits, and antistatic suits, have many names based on their performance. Some people ask what the difference is between them; there is no difference, just different names for the same thing. Cleanroom garment fabrics use special polyester filaments with conductive fibers woven in the warp or weft. They have highly efficient and permanent antistatic and dustproof properties, are thin and smooth, and have a clear weave.

Antistatic Coveralls

Cleanroom garments are divided into three main categories, primarily distinguished by style: lab coats, two-piece suits, and coveralls. Antistatic lab coats offer the weakest dustproof performance due to their poor sealing, making them suitable for Class 100,000 cleanrooms. Two-piece suits consist of a separate jacket and trousers, with the jacket sometimes having a hood, offering stronger protection and suitable for Class 10,000 cleanrooms. Cleanroom coveralls are three- or four-piece suits with a hood and trousers connected, offering the best protection. These are generally chosen for cleanrooms with higher requirements, such as Class 1000, Class 100, and Class 10 cleanrooms.

After some research, we learned that when purchasing antistatic clothing, the basic principle is to choose different styles based on your needs. Secondly, consider whether you require special functions, such as resistance to 121-degree high-temperature sterilization, or whether you need comfortable wear. Customization is an option based on your specific needs. Suzhou Trustat Techwear Co., Ltd. specializes in the R&D, design, and production of cleanroom antistatic products.
