How to Maintain and Wash ESD Workwear Properly

Key Points for Cleaning and Maintaining Antistatic Work Clothes

1. Cleaning Precautions

- Antistatic work clothes should be cleaned regularly to maintain their good antistatic properties. 1. **Washing Recommendations:

- Avoid using strong oxidizing chemicals such as chlorine bleach, as these can damage the conductive fibers in the fabric.

- Wash antistatic work clothes separately from other ordinary work clothes to prevent cross-contamination.

- Control the washing water temperature to 30-40 degrees Celsius.** Excessive heat will accelerate the aging and breakage of conductive fibers.

2. Ironing Tips:

- When ironing antistatic work clothes, the temperature should not be too high, ideally below 120 degrees Celsius, to avoid burning the conductive fibers.

- Avoid prolonged high-temperature ironing of the same area to prevent uneven heating of the conductive fibers, which can affect antistatic performance.

3.Maintenance Tips:

- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent ultraviolet rays from damaging the conductive fibers.

- Do not puncture the fabric with sharp objects to prevent breakage of the conductive fibers.

Repair or replace antistatic work clothes immediately if they are worn, torn, or otherwise damaged.

- Store in a dry, cool, and ventilated place.** Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture, which can accelerate the aging of conductive fibers.
